Memo case: SC’s short order irks Asma Jahangir

Staff Report
ISLAMABAD: Asma Jahangir, counsel of former Pakistani ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani Friday said the court went far ahead of what petitioners asked it for.

Talking to a battery of reporters outside the apex court premises, she said the ruling has disappointed her, adding she is ready to go behind bars if the court deems it as contempt of court.

Miss Jahangir said she respects the SC ruling, despite being disappointed by it.

"Now, we will have to ponder if it is a public court or the administration's," she said. SAMAA
