QUETTA: An investigative committee, comprising three senior police officials, has been constituted, aiming at probing the killing of police surgeon, Baqar Shah in Quetta, reports SAMAA on late Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Dr. Baqar Shah, a surgeon by profession, was shot dead while being on way home from office by some unidentified assailants. Subsequently, the murder prompted the authorities as the Chief Minister Baluchistan Nawab Aslam Raisani has sought probe report.
Meanwhile, Baluchistan police has constituted a three-member team, led by DIG Operations Nazir Ahmed Kurd, to probe the assassination. The committee is keeping in view various aspects while investigating this murder, including Kharotabad Tragedy.
According to source, police have kicked off search operations in separate areas in Quetta, ending up nabbing dozens of suspected figures from across the province, suspecting their alleged involvement in the slaying.
Also, an FIR, on complaint of the servant of deceased Dr. Baqar, has been lodged with the Sariyab Road police station, sources revealed. SAMAA
