Badin police recover 6 prisoners from private jail

BADIN: Local police recovered at least six people including four children kept imprisoned by a landlord at his private jail in the city, SAMAA reported Monday.

According to police sources, a raid was conducted at a private jail belonging to landlord Usman Thibo in suburban village of Saeedpur in Badin’s tehsil of Talhar on court directives moved by a lawyer Abdul Ghaffar Sheikh.

Police rescued six people including four children kept jailed for forced labor. All the released people have been presented before the court, which ordered them to live freely from now on. SAMAA
