BADIN: A rally taken in support of President Asif Ali Zardari and Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wasan in Badin came under gun attack on Sunday, reports SAMAA.

There is no immediate report of casualties or injuries.

The attack took place in Golarchi area of Badin, the home city of former Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza.

The firing incident happened at a time when PPP supporters were rallying in support of President Zardari and Home Minister Wasan in Badin.

Tension and fear gripped the locality after the fiirng.

A large police contingent was called in Badin to prevent any untoward situation.

Sindh MPA Muhammad Nawaz Chandio accused Mirza’s supporters of firing at the rally.

Taking notice of the attack, Home Minister Wasan asked Badin’s DPO to leave his charge and report in Karachi.

Meanwile, Zulfiqar Mirza also reached Golarchi. SAMAA
