Gen. Kayani holds emergency meeting of Corps Commanders in GHQ

Staff Report

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army’s Chief General Ashafaq Parvez Kayani is holding a special emergency meeting of the Corps Commanders in GHQ, Rawalpindi this day to review security issues and recent grave allegations of the US, SAMAA reported on Sunday.

This is a very stunning and alarming move by the Pakistan Army to call such an important meeting on Sunday without any prior notice;
this indicates some very big development after the meeting under the developing scenario after American threats and allegations.

It is expected that some very important decisions will be taken during the meeting over the ongoing war against terror.

The Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani is chairing the meeting while all corps commanders, principal staff officers and
important formation officers are present there.

This meeting becomes more important as it has been convened on the second day after visit of the US Centcom Chief General James.

Early the previous day, the US Centcom Chief General James called on the COAS General Kayani and the CJCSC General Khalid Shamim Waynne. SAMAA
