US-Pak. ties entered in dangerous phase: Shah Mehmood Qureshi

Staff Report

MULTAN: The US is constantly crossing the red line and now US-Pak. ties have entered in a dangerous phase; the Parliament and national leadership shall be taken into confidence while the nation should be made ready to face any situation, said former foreign minister of the country Shah Mehmood Qureshi this day, SAMAA reported on Friday.

Shah Qureshi said while talking to the media at Multan Press Club today that the statements issued by the US Admiral Mullen and officials should be taken seriously while the US must stop threatening Pakistan as it will not serve their purposes.

He added that the Prime Minister shall take the Parliament into confidence, a meeting of the defense committee should be call to form a strategy that if any action against Pakistan is taken then what our response will be; if this time Pakistan will not adopt a concrete policy and mix statements would be given, then extremely dangerous results will come out.

“After an operation against the terrorists in Pakistan, such elements have taken refuge in Afghanistan who launch terrorist activities in Pakistan and then return back into Afghanistan and whatever happens at other side of the border that is not our responsibility,” Qureshi added.

“The much forces are now deployed at the western border, never before were sent their; the US crossed over our sovereignty on May 2, and he will not stop doing it in future as well,” he added further. SAMAA
