KARACHI: The fifteenth death anniversary of veteran television actress Khalida Riyasat is being observed today with reverence and solemnity, SAMAA reported Friday.

Khalida Riyasat came on television in the late '70s and in a short period made a massive impact on audiences with startlingly good performances in various plays.

She was the sister of famous actress Ayesha Khan.

She along with Uzma Gilani and Rohi Bano dominated TV dramas in 70s and early 80s. The television detective series, ‘Naam Daar.' Shakeel- KhalidaRiyasat played the lead roles and solved the murder mysteries.

She died of cancer on August 26th, 1996 at the age of 43. SAMAA
