Pakistan to continue anti-terror fight: Malik

THIMPU: Federal Interior Minister Rehman A. Malik Saturday said Pakistan would continue to play its role towards the elimination of terrorism.

Addressing the fourth South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) interior ministers’ conference here, Malik said, “Terrorists could not enervate our intentions against terrorism.”

On this occasion, Rehman Malik urged the constitution of a joint task force of SAARC countries against the menace of sea pirates.

Pakistan is acting on 3Ds policy to uproot terrorism, the federal interior minister said stressing at least 35, 000 Pakistani troops laid down their lives in war against terrorism.

He further added Pakistan paid a heavy price of anti-terror fight following Nine Eleven, as 7,485 bombings took place in the country during the last ten years.
