KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and other political leaders have strongly deplored terrorist attack on Pakistan Navy’s airbase, PNS Mehran on Monday, SAMAA reported.

Meanwhile, the people of Pakistan have vowed to clear the motherland Pakistan of militants.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said in a statement, "Such a cowardly act of terror could not deter the commitment of the government and people of Pakistan to fight terrorism".

President Asif Ali Zardari, condemning the attack, has issued orders to investigate into terrorists' attack on PNS Mehran.

MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain has said that the attack on Naval Base is akin to violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Meanwhile, PM Gilani has contacted chiefs of armed forces and expressed solidarity and assured all-out support of government to them.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah deplored attack on Navy base, declaring emergency at all hospitals across metropolis. SAMAA
