ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders Taj Haider and Sharjeel Memon have reached the Supreme Court (SC) on the notice of contempt of court on Friday morning.
The hearing of the case will start soon.
PPP leaders Zulfiqar Mirza, Pir Mazharul Haq, Nisar Khoro, Agha Siraj Durrani, Shazia Marri and others have also reached the SC to support both party leaders.
The SC had issued a contempt of court notice to the said PPP leaders on account of calling a protest and general strike in Sindh against the SC’s judgment, invalidating the appointment of NAB Chairman Justice (retd.) Deedar Husain Shah.
Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza said the court’s decision is based on discrimination. SAMAA
