New Zealand win toss, bat first vs. South Africa

DHAKA: New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and decided to bat in the World Cup quarter-final against South Africa on Friday.

AB de Villiers will keep wicket for South Africa instead of Morne van Wyk, allowing South Africa to play their three frontline spinners Johan Botha, Robin Peterson and Imran Tahir.

New Zealand selected left-arm spinner Luke Woodcock to supplement captain Daniel Vettori and Nathan McCullum.

South Africa: Graeme Smith (captain), Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Johan Botha, Robin Peterson, Morne Morkel, Dale Steyn, Imran Tahir.
