KARACHI: Sindh government has decided to transfer 500 dangerous inmates to the other provinces’ prisons and take all those accused into custody again who had been released on paroles, SAMAA reports.
A special meeting of the top officials was held in Sindh CM House this day over law and order situation and ongoing targeted operation in Karachi.
Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah chaired the meeting and all top officials of the security agencies and departments along with the concerned ministers were present there.
The meeting decided to transfer 500 dangerous prisoners from Karachi to different prisons of other provinces, to contact the courts for cancellation of bails of released accused and locking them up in prisons under the MPO, and taking those accused into custody again, who had been realized on paroles.
The meeting agreed upon installation of Mobile phone jammers around all key prisons and taking action against the concerned jailer, if any prisoner manages to call outside the jail.
Sindh CM led top officials meeting also approved construction of flats for police officials, in limits of their police stations, and supply of armored vehicles, bullet proof jackets, and latest weapons to the security agencies.
The law enforcement agencies’ representatives claimed on the occasion that there is not any no-go area in the metropolis now.
Sindh security officials unanimously expressed consent to set head money on fugitives without any further delay and impose ban on pillion riding, on eve of Chehlum, in the meeting. SAMAA
