Paras Khursheed
Born in Hyderabad, Paras Khursheed has a distinctive personality coupled with anchoring experience for half a decade.
She’s already anchored programs on Samaa TV previously. Her anchoring career started in December 2004. She has done her Masters in political science.
Paras Khurshid will be anchoring “30 Minute” which will be aired every Monday - Thursday at 19:05 pm – 19:30pm
Fereeha Idrees
Born in Lahore, Fereeha Idrees did her Masters in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Westminster, London. She’s been affiliated with the media industry since the last ten years. She started her career in 2000 and since then has gained tremendous experience as a writer, editor, documentary maker, journalist, producer and anchor. In January 2011, Fereeha took over SAMAA's primetime program 'News Beat'.
This program is aired Friday to Sunday from 20:03pm - 21:00pm.
Fereeha's other interests include reading literature. She is also working with the Muslim Council of Britain, Evening Standard, Eastern Eye, Daily Mirror and blogs for The Guardian's Comment. Her documentary 'Unsung Heroes' was nominated for the Banff Awards.
Jasmeen Manzoor
Born in Karachi, Jasmeen Manzoor did her Masters in International Relations. She’s been working as a producer and television anchor since 1999. In March 2010, Jasmeen started hosting SAMAA TV's flagship primetime program called 'Tonight with Jasmeen'.
This program is aired Monday to Thursday from 10:03pm-11:00pm.
Jasmeen has also made documentaries on various subjects and has received four awards for her outstanding work, one of which was the Benazir Excellence Award for Best Female Anchor in Pakistan in 2009.
Asma Shirazi
Born in Islamabad, Asma Shirazi has a Postgraduate Degree in Political Science. Asma Shirazi started her career with the media industry in 2001. She has substantial experience as a news reporter and program anchor.
She joined SAMAA in July 2010 and since then hosts a weekend program 'Faisla Aap Ka' aired every Monday to Thursday from 20:03pm - 21:00pm.
Mehwish Siddique
Born in Karachi, Mehwish Siddique started her career as a theatre artist. She has a degree in acting from the National Academy of Performing Arts and she has a bachelors degree in Psychology. She started her career in 2008 as a TV actress. Her acnhoring career started in January 2001. Her interests include reading and acting.
Mehwish Siddique will be anchoring “Awam ki Awaz” which will be aired every Friday at 22:03pm – 23:00pm
