Sinch CM launches Benazir Income Support Programme

LARKANA: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah along with Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Farzana Raja launched the Benazir Bhutto Income Support Program on Tuesday in front of the Mazar of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto at Garhi Khuda Baksh. The Sindh Chief Minister on the occasion said that the dream and mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was to support the poor women in the country. The Chief Minister also said that every two months the postman will deliver the check of Rs.2000 to the poor and widows at their doorsteps in villages and towns. He said that the dream of our leader was that half of the population of our society which comprises of women should be financially encouraged by this program and 5.5 million poor women will be benefited. The Chief Minister further said that under the directives of the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari the program was started in the country. He said that 18 thousand educated youth were getting training in different trades in Sindh which are being paid an amount of Rs.3000 to Rs.7000 every month and after completing their training they will be able to get jobs in the country or abroad. The Chief Minister also said that women will also be provided developed land and the loan for fertilizers and tractors will also be provided to farmers so that the per acer yield would be increased and the economy of the country can be boosted up. The Chief Minister said that the women will play their due role in the society after getting agricultural land in their names. He said that the job opportunities were being provided to educated the youth in different departments on merit basis. Syed Qaim Ali Shah also said that our country is in strong hands in the present elected democratic government which was working according to the wishes of people.
