408 killed in KP flood: Minister

PESHAWAR: Total 408 people have been killed in rain and flood, said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain, SAMAA reported Friday.

He said that immediate aid should be released for the victims, adding that delayed funding would not be accepted.

During his press briefing he said that death toll in the province after rain and flood has reached at 408. He feared that more causalities were being feared.

Mian Iftikhar said that it was not possible to access several areas due to flood destruction.

He said that 17 helicopters are busy in relief work, adding that 10 more are asked to rescue the people. SAMAA
