'Sindh Govt to take stern action against target killings'

KARACHI: Sindh cabinet agreed on Saturday to maintain law and order in the province and to punish those who are involved in the target killing of Ulemas.

The meeting of Sindh cabinet was presided by Chief Minister Sindh Qaim ali Shah.

The cabinet meeting discussed the issues of the target killing of Ulemas in the province. Salahuddin Babar Khattak, IG Sindh briefed the cabinet on the security situation of the province and told the cabinet that the people involved in the target killings would be arrested soon. He also informed the cabinet of the security measures taken in the province to tackle the terrorists.

Sindh cabinet also condemned the acts of terrorist in Lahore, Karachi and Swat and expressed grief over the innocent deaths in these acts of acts of terrorism.

Sindh Minister for Natural Resources told the cabinet that Sindh government will sign the agreement of about 100 million Euros with Al-Abbas Group in which Al-Abbas Group will invest sixty percent while Sindh government will invest remaining forty percent of all the expenses on the project. The natural resources of coal present in Badin would be utilized according to this project. The project would be completed within two years. About 300 megawatts of electricity would be generated from the coal explored from Badin. SAMAA
