ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Choudhry said that there will be no clash among the institutions because the nation has sacrificed for two years.
While hearing the promotion case of grade 22 officers, the chief justice said that he is present there to strengthen the parliament and democracy and he has mentioned this in his decision on July 31.
He said that the judges cannot appear on TV programs and say whatever they want. He said that no one will be allowed to harm democracy.
Prime Minister's lawyer Abdul Hafeez Pirzada said with reference to the PM's letter submitted in the court that a prerogative authority was used only to compensate the neglected class as article 27 of the constitution holds the prime minister responsible to protect the interests of these classes.
The federal government assured the Supreme Court that the rules for promotion in grade 22 will be compiled within two weeks. SAMAA
