Parliamentarians threatened by Taliban

ISLAMABAD: Parliamentarians have been threatened by the Taliban, one of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) parliamentarians belonging to Peshawar told the combined committee of Senate and National Assembly on Friday.

The parliamentarians who have received these threats belong to PPP and Awami National Party (ANP).

Deputy Chairman Senate Jan Mohammad Jamali said that the security measures around the parliament lodges are not satisfactory. He further instructed the police to arrange better security measures indicating the need for foolproof security arrangements around the lodges. SAMAA
