Top Pak army officials under attack

RAWALPINDI: Top Pakistan army officials came under attacks when terrorists threw hand grenades, opened firing and conducted two suicide bomb blasts in a mosque located in Qasim Market. Major General Bilal Omar Khan is among martyred of Qasim mosque attacks. Former vice chief of army staff, General (rtd) Mohammad Yousuf is among injured. Hasham, the son of Crops Commandr Peshawar, has also been martyred.

Major General Athar Abbas, Director General of ISPR, confirmed 37 people martyred and 75 others injured who were taken to the CMH.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Pime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar have condemned mosque blast.

President Zardari said that such acts of terrorism can't weak government's determination against terrorists. This he said while meeting with NWFP Chief Minister Amir Haider Hoti in presidency. President Zardari said that war against terrorism will be continued till the elimination of terrorists.

PM Gilani said that the nation is firm to eliminate terrorism from motherland.

FM Qureshi said that the government will abolish objectives of the terrorists.

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah condemning the mosque attacks said that such heinous acts can't shatter stance of the nation.
